It has been a while since my sabbatical started, so I thought of writing down my experience and where I am so far.
Technically my sabbatical started about 4 months ago and I came to Melbourne about 2 months ago. The first 2 months went into vacating our apartment in Bangalore and getting ready to fly to Melbourne. The next 2 months have gone by quickly and I must admit that I haven’t accomplished whatever I had set to do. First and foremost, I wanted to write at least one post every week – as you can see that hasn’t happened. I haven’t been exercising regularly either (this one is an irony if you read my previous post). But, not to worry I am planning to start my routine again and see how that goes.
When the thought of taking a sabbatical came to my mind a couple of months ago, I was excited and always felt that I could do all the things I like and am remotely passionate about. But looks like having free unstructured time during your day, does you no good and almost gives the same result as your 9-5 job. Well, not the same result but what I meant to say is that a day without a proper routine is not a productive one.
This feels like an online journal update! I wish my blog had the kind of reach where I could ask you people (on the internet) for some tips and tricks on how to be productive when you work from home and work for yourself.
Here’s hoping for a productive next week. I will keep you updated (to whoever is reading this or will read it in the future).
Until then…
